TWO RUNNING BACKS JOIN RATTLERS STABLE OF BALL CARRIERS

GLENDALE, Arizona (November 3, 2025) – Two running backs will bring talent and competition to the Rattlers 2026 camp after signing with the team.

Howard Russell
Russell, 6-1, 200 pounds, rushed for nearly 1,800 yards in two seasons at Colorado St. University-Pueblo. He was the team's leading rusher with 1,207 yards and 11 touchdowns his final year with the Thunderwolves. He also caught 27 passes for 199 yards and three touchdowns.

Russell is from the Phoenix area and went to school at Phoenix Christian Preparatory School. The school won four region championships while Russell was there. He was the 2020 Region Player of the Year and statewide Offensive Player of the Year.

Marcus Knight
Knight, 6-1, 215 pounds, spent four years playing at Montana and Tennessee Tech where he was a key offensive contributor throughout his career.

In his only year at Tennessee Tech, he rushed for 509 yards and six touchdowns. His season came after sitting out two seasons with COVID and a knee injury. At Montana, he was the 2019 Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year when he ran for 1,030 yards and 23 touchdowns.
