
Kevin Guy, Head Coach
Guy has upheld the Rattlers' status as one of the top franchises in the professional indoor football industry. Throughout his leadership, the Rattlers have made 9 championship game appearances and secured 5 championships, earning him the title of 3-time ArenaBowl Champion and 2-time Indoor Football League National Champion.
Coach Guy is renowned for his outstanding coaching career, boasting a winning percentage that makes him the most successful coach in Arizona Rattlers history, Arena Football, and Indoor Football history. Over his 26 seasons coaching indoor football, Guy has amassed an all-time winning record of 264-87 (75%). He stands as the only head coach to have secured multiple championships in both the arena and indoor football leagues.
Guy is a Hall of Famer at the University of West Alabama, AF2, and Arena Football League, and he has been honored as Coach of the Year four times for the AF2, NFL Network, AFL, and IFL.
Jeff Jarnigan, Defensive Line / Special Teams Coach
After joining the team in 2016, Jarnigan helped the Rattlers win the United Bowl championship in 2017 and their most recent IFL Championship in 2024. Prior to joining the Rattlers, he spent seven seasons with the San Jose Sabercats in various coaching roles. Additionally, he was the defensive coordinator for the Austin Wranglers in 2004. Alongside his coaching experience, Jarnigan brings 21 years of sales experience to the Rattlers.
Jarnigan also has experience as a head coach, having served as head coach for the IFL's Minnesota Rage in 2000, before being named head coach of the Oklahoma City Yard Dogz from 2005 to 2006. From 1988 to 1999, Jarnigan worked for four different collegiate programs, including Fort Hays State University, Bethel College, Morningside College, and Carleton College. During this time, he primarily served as either an offensive line or defensive line coach.
The Midwest City, Oklahoma native played football at Southwestern College from 1982 to 1987.
Kevin Ashak, Offensive Line Coach
Ashak, the Offensive Line Coach for the Rattlers, led the O-line to secure the recent IFL Championship victory.
Since 2017, he has been the Offensive Line Coach and Co-Offensive Coordinator at Desert Ridge High School in Mesa, AZ while also coaching for the Rattlers. During his tenure, he has overseen the strength and conditioning of the Jaguars.
Ashak was a member of the Arizona Rattlers 2017 Championship Team and previously played as both a Fullback and Offensive Lineman for the New Orleans Voodoo from 2014 to 2015. Before his Indoor Football career, Ashak was an All-RMAC selection as part of the offensive line at Adams State University from 2009 to 2013.
Peyton Riggs, Offensive Coordinator
Riggs will be involved in all aspects of football operations, as well as player recruiting and scouting.
Coach Riggs comes to the team after serving as the Offensive Coordinator for the Sioux Falls Storm for 2 seasons. Prior to that, he worked with the University of Washington football team as an Offensive Recruiting Analyst and Scout during the 2022-2023 season. In addition to his coaching role, he also worked as the Associate Director at the Riggs Premier Football Academy, alongside his father, Kurtiss Riggs.
Riggs, originally from Sioux Falls, SD, Riggs earned a double degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Sioux Falls.
Dante Moses, Running Backs Coach and Equipment Manager
Moses currently holds the positions of Head Equipment Manager and Running Backs Coach for the Rattlers. In 2022, he worked as a football operations and Video Coordinator for the team.
Before joining the Rattlers in the 2019-21 season, he was the Head Coach at Gila River Junior College in 2020 and also served as the defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Gila River. Moses' coaching experience also includes being the Defensive Line Coach at Arcadia High School in 2018.
He attended Pasadena City College as an offensive lineman from 2010 to 2012, where he was recognized with an All-California Selection. Following his time at Pasadena, Moses pursued his education at Adams State University in Colorado. There, he lettered for two years and earned a degree in Business Marketing before embarking on a brief professional football playing career after his senior year.
Moses is originally from Houston, Texas.
Dillion Winfrey, Defensive Backs Coach
Entering his first year as a coach with the Arizona Rattlers, Winfrey brings a decorated playing career to the sidelines. A two-time IFL National Champion, he amassed an impressive 49 career interceptions.
In 2024, Winfrey recorded 64 total tackles, with 54 of them being solo, along with five interceptions. His dominance on the field earned him All-IFL First Team honors in 2021, 2022, and 2023. During the 2022 season, he secured 11 interceptions and forced one fumble. His standout 2021 campaign saw him named IFL Defensive Player of the Year after recording 65 total tackles—53 solo—which ranked third on the Rattlers, along with 14 interceptions and four forced fumbles.
Before his emergence as one of the league’s top defensive players, Winfrey was named to the All-IFL Second Team as a defensive back in 2019. He played his college football at the University of Central Arkansas, where he earned All-Southland Conference Honorable Mention recognition in 2012.
Maurice Brown, Strength and Conditioning Coach and Team Operations
As the Arizona Rattlers' head strength and conditioning coach, Maurice Brown is responsible for leading performance programs for athletes and designing and overseeing comprehensive training plans that enhance strength, speed, agility, and injury prevention. In 2021, he started his role as Team Operations, and he is responsible for overseeing the Training Table Partnership Program and coordinating all logistical, administrative, and operational aspects of the Arizona Rattlers.
Known as “Coach Mo,” Maurice is a familiar face to the Rattlers organization, having spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons as an intern assistant with the organization.
Before rejoining the Rattlers, Coach Mo joined the Arizona Diamondbacks as their NexGen Strength and Conditioning Coach. Brown also worked with EXOS, formerly “Athletes Performance”, as a Performance Coach for three years.
Maurice is an Arizona native and grew up on the Navajo Nation in a small town called Tuba City in Northern AZ.
