DIRECTOR OF SIDEWINDERS DANCE TEAM, SHELBY UNDERWOOD
The 2025 season will be Shelby Underwood's sixth season as Director of the Sidewinders Dance Team, after having previously served as the dance team's Assistant Director. Shelby was a member of the Sidewinders Dance Team for three seasons (2011-2013), performing with the Sidewinders at ArenaBowl XXII.
During her three years on the team, she was named captain, participated in promotional videos and photo shoots, was nominated for the 2013 AFL Dream Team and was a contributing choreographer for the Sidewinders. Shelby has remained part of the team as an alum, assisting in team reveal shows, youth dance clinics and performing in the Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show.
The Castro Valley, California native is a graduate of Arizona State University, with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She has trained in several different styles of dance, including jazz, ballet, contemporary and cheerleading/pom. After departing from the Sidewinders, Shelby continued her professional dance career with the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders, where she had the privilege of cheering for three seasons.
As a member of the Cardinals Cheerleaders, she assisted with their junior cheer program, and traveled overseas as a representative and a part of game day entertainment for the Cardinals' London game. She was also part of the Armed Forces Entertainment and Pro Tour Productions, traveling to Singapore and Diego Garcia.
