GLENDALE, Arizona (October 31, 2025) – The Arizona Rattlers have signed one of the top HBCU defensive backs from last season and added a defensive lineman who played extensively in his four years college career.
Carlvainsky Decius
Decius, 6-0, 190 pounds, was on multiple HBCU watch lists throughout his time at Morgan St. and ended his career by playing in the HBCU Legacy Bowl, the all-star game for HBCU football teams.
As a senior in 2024, Decius was in on 43 tackles, 27 of those solo. He also intercepted three passes, recorded six pass breakups and recovered a fumble.
"Most of the time when we are playing against a team, their number one receiver was locked up against (Decius)," Morgan St. Head Coach Damon Wilson said in an interview. "He looks forward to those challenges."
Jahkari Larmond
Larmond, 6-3, 315 pounds, from Rochester, N.Y., appeared in 45 games over a four-year college career, the last two seasons at Idaho. In his final season with the Vandals, he was in on 31 tackles, six for loss including one sack. His junior year was highlighted by two blocked kicks, against Weber St. and Montana St.
In two years at Lincoln (Mo.) University, Larmond played in 19 games, eight of those as a true freshman. He recorded 44 tackles over those two years.Â
