Biography

William Lay joins the Arizona Rattlers for his rookie season in the IFL in 2024.

Lay attended Georgia Tech where he played on the offensive line. He played 32 total games and started 13 of those games. Lay took over as the starting center for Georgia Tech in 2019 as a redshirt sophomore where he earned recognition on the watch list for the nation’s most outstanding walk-on student-athlete. He played a key role in helping his team rush for 207 yards against the University of Miami, which was the team’s second-highest rushing total of the season.

Lay is from Bowersville, GA, and attended Hart County High School.
