Ulric Jones enters his first season with the Arizona Rattlers as an IFL veteran for the 2023 season.
The Arizona Rattlers pulled off a trade to acquire All-IFL First-Team defensive lineman Ulric Jones from the Northern Arizona Wranglers on the night before training camp began in 2023.
Jones tallied 59 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and 2 blocks for the Wranglers last season.
Jones started out his collegiate football career at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan. While at Butler, Jones was named an All-Conference honorable mention. Jones transferred to the University of South Carolina for his junior and senior seasons.
Jones was a force for the Gamecocks in his senior season, leading the interior defensive line in tackles with 29. Jones also had two passes defended, one sack, and one tackle for loss.
In 2017, Jones earned his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Carolina.
