Saleem Brightwell enters his second season for the Rattlers and in the IFL in 2023.

Last season, Saleem appeared in one game due to injury but made his impact felt in that outing by recording 6 tackles.

Brightwell played 4 years at the University of Pittsburgh, where he made 25 starts. He amassed over 200 tackles at Pittsburgh, where he primarily played LB. For Pittsburgh, he played in 11 games and compiled 62 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks during his senior season.

Saleem was a highly decorated and productive linebacker who totaled nearly 200 tackles in his final two seasons at perennial New Jersey powerhouse Paramus Catholic. Brightwell was rated one of New Jersey’s top 20 overall prospects by several recruiting outlets such as ESPN, 24/7, Rivals, and more.
