Jaiave Magalei joins the Arizona Rattlers for his first season in the IFL in 2025.
Magalei most recently played at East Central University, where he threw for 649 yards and completed 56 passes in his final collegiate season.Â
Before joining East Carolina University (ECU), Magalei played at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He redshirted in 2018 due to an injury but returned in 2019, participating in six games. During that season, he scored his first career touchdown and surpassed the 100-yard passing mark in a game against Texas Southern. In 2020, he made his only appearance of the season against ULM, completing three out of four passes for 20 yards, which included his first collegiate touchdown.
Magalei’s collegiate career began at Mt. San Antonio College, where he led his team to a 9-2 record while throwing for 1,811 yards and 19 touchdowns.
A standout Tacoma local quarterback from Lakes High School in Tacoma, Washington, Magalei showcased his talent early, throwing for 2,725 yards and 28 touchdowns during his senior season.
