Arizona Rattlers

Drew Powell returns to the Arizona Rattlers for his fifth season in the IFL in 2025. 

Powell's contribution to the Rattlers' success in the 2023 season helped the team claim the top seed in the Western Conference with a 13-3 record. His standout performance earned him the IFL Offensive Player of the Year award. On the ground, Powell contributed an additional 734 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns.

Powell achieved consecutive MVP titles in 2021 and 2022. During that time, Powell set new franchise records with a remarkable 81 total touchdowns (43 rushing, 38 passing), including the most rushing TDs and yards.

Since joining the Rattlers mid-season in 2019, Powell has played a critical role in the team's 31-5 regular-season record, four playoff victories, and two United Bowl appearances through 2023. Originally from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Powell attended Livingstone College before making waves in the IFL. He earned his first MVP award in 2018 with the Iowa Barnstormers before becoming the face of the Rattlers.
