Connor Taylor re-signs with Arizona for his second season with the Rattlers after joining midway through the 2023 season.
Taylor made the most of his time in the desert a season ago, recording 26.5 tackles in just 5 games. That included six tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble.Â
He made an instant impact on the defensive side of the football and will look to enter the 2024 season as one of the leaders of the defense.Â
In 2022, Taylor played for the Tucson Sugar Skulls, where in five games he recorded 26 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.Â
He played for two years at Snow College where he was named National Junior College Association (NJCAA) Defensive Player of the Year before transferring to Louisiana Tech. Not only was Taylor recognized for his defensive play but also received recognition for his outstanding academics in the classroom. During his senior year, Taylor led the team recording 75 tackles, one fumble recovery, and two forced fumbles.Â
Before his collegiate career, Connor attended Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah, graduating in 2016 where he was a two-sport athlete, lettering three years in football and two years in wrestling. Connor was named First Team All-State and Region MVP, accumulating 270 tackles, 10 forced fumbles, and four interceptions at Davis High.
