Demry Croft enters his first season with the Arizona Rattlers and second in the IFL in 2022.
In his rookie 2021 season with the Tucson Sugar Skulls, Croft was named to the IFL’s All-Rookie Offense Team as a quarterback after throwing for 1,381 yards and 24 touchdowns with a completion percentage of 60.7%. Croft’s passing yards and completion percentage totals were fifth and third in the IFL, respectively. Additionally, Croft added 446 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground in 2021, and his 40.5 rushing yards per game was the fifth-best among rookie quarterbacks in the league.
Croft played college football at Tennessee State University in 2018, where in four games before suffering a season-ending injury, Croft threw for 888 yards and eight touchdowns with a completion percentage of 60.4 percent. He also ran the ball 38 times, earning 146 yards on the ground. He also earned OVC Newcomer of the Week honors in the Tigers’ second game of the season.
Prior to his time at Tennessee State, Croft played at the University of Minnesota, where in 12 career games – including six starts – he threw for 708 yards and four touchdowns. Croft also ran for 349 yards and four touchdowns during his time with the Golden Gophers.
Croft graduated from Boylan High School in his native Rockford Ill, where during his senior season in 2014, he threw for 2,011 yards and 21 touchdowns while running for 845 yards and 10 touchdowns. That year, Croft was named as an All-State Honorable Mention. In his high school class, Croft was named as the seventh-best prospect in the state of Illinois by 24/7 Sports and as the 18th-best dual-threat quarterback in the country. Scout.com listed Croft as the best quarterback in the state of Illinois and the fourth-best in the Midwest. Croft also lettered in basketball, track and bowling in high school.
