Glendale, AZ — The Arizona Rattlers, already set with a No. 2 seed and first-round home playoff game, hit the road for their season finale, taking on the San Diego Strike Force in a game that has playoff implications for their host. Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday, July 27, at 6:05 p.m. MST in San Diego.
The teams last met July 12 in Glendale when the Rattlers rallied for a 46-43 victory that clinched a playoff berth. If the Strike Force defend their home turf on Sunday, they will be back in Glendale on Monday, Aug. 4, for a rematch in the first round of the playoffs. If the Rattlers and the Vegas Knight Hawks win this weekend, it will be Vegas in town for the playoffs.
Riding High into the Postseason
With the final week of the season upon them, the Rattlers are riding a wave of momentum. Three straight wins after a stretch of four straight losses put the Rattlers in the playoffs for the 16th straight season and gave them home-field advantage for the first round.
After breaking the losing skid by handling the Green Bay Blizzard, 48-28, the Rattlers came out on top of a couple of nail-biters, the 3-point win over the Strike Force and a 41-39 victory at San Antonio last weekend..
Commanding the Field
Quarterback Dalton Sneed continues to lead Arizona's offense with poise and precision. He has thrown for 2,456 yards and 44 touchdowns this season and added 500 yards rushing with 19 touchdowns on the ground. As the regular season concludes, he has an opportunity to cap off a standout year and set the tone for the postseason with his dual-threat ability.
Job's Not Done
While playoff qualification is assured, the team remains focused on finishing strong. The Rattlers aim to carry their momentum into the postseason with the first round at home. Whether they face San Diego or Vegas, Arizona is determined to defend the Snake Pit as they pursue their eighth championship.
