Box Score PHOENIX - The Arizona Rattlers gutted out a tough road win against the defending champion Northern Arizona Wranglers by the score of 63-62. It took two overtime periods, but Arizona secured a needed win to boost them to sole possession of the 2nd seed in the West.
The Rattlers put up a fight and were able to answer every punch thrown from NAZÂ with a potent swing of their own. The Rattlers handed the Wranglers their second loss in three weeks and third in a row overall, dropping below the Rattlers by one game in the standings, and Arizona has the head-to-head tiebreaker since they've defeated them in both meetings.Â
Drew Powell -- who had three rushing touchdowns tonight -- broke the franchise record for most rushing touchdowns in Arizona Rattlers history. He broke the record with his first rushing touchdown in the 2nd quarter and now sits alone at the top with 84 rushing TDs in his Rattlers' career after collecting two more once he set the record.
