FORMER UCLA DB, WADOOD SIGNS WITH RATTLERS

The six-time world champion Arizona Rattlers have signed defensive back Jaleel Wadood for the 2021 Indoor Football League season.

PHOENIX -- The six-time world champion Arizona Rattlers have signed defensive back Jaleel Wadood for the 2021 Indoor Football League season.

DB Jaleel Wadood (5'10", 190, UCLA) will join the Rattlers for his rookie season in the IFL. Wadood spent the entirety of his college career as a key contributor for UCLA, playing in all of a possible 48 games. Across his college tenure, Wadood racked up 286 total tackles, 15 passes defended, nine tackles-for-loss, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and one sack. By the end of his college career, Wadood's 286 tackles ranked 18th in school history.

During his freshman year, Wadood's 59 tackles were the 4th-most ever by a true freshman in UCLA program history. His junior season, he was named to the Thorpe Award Watch List, and he was an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention selection. The Los Angeles, California native was also named second-team All-Pac-12 as both a sophomore and a senior. During each of his final three seasons at UCLA, Wadood ranked top-three on the Bruins in tackles.

The Arizona Rattlers were founded in 1992, and are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). In the three seasons that the Rattlers have been in the IFL, they have won one championship in 2017 and also competed for the United Bowl again in 2019.
