College Experience: Brown posted 51 tackles while seeing action in all 13 games at Texas A&M (2007). He started the last six games registering 30 tackles over that span, led the team by breaking up eight passes, and notched a career high 11 tackles against Kansas. In 2006 Brown was the Aggies’ top pass defender off the bench with four passes broken up and 21 tackles, started two games while seeing action in every game, and posted three PBUs in his starting debut while covering NFL prospect Jonathan Holland of Louisiana Tech. Had a season-best three tackles against The Citadel, Louisiana-Lafayette and vs. Cal in the Holiday Bowl. As a freshman he was a mainstay on a variety of special teams units and saw limited action in the defensive secondary. He made 13 tackles, including nine solo stops, in 11 games of action and broke up a pass against SMU.
Arena Football Experience:
High School/Personal: Brown earned Class 4A all-state mention as a defensive back and return specialist at El Campo High School. Was second-team all-state honors as a defensive back as a senior after grabbing seven interceptions while helping El Campo to a 9-4 record. He contributed 18 catches for 368 yards and two touchdowns as a senior. As a junior, Brown received honorable mention all-state honors as a return specialist. Contributed five interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) on defense and 22 catches for 343 yards on offense while helping El Campo to an 11-3 record and the Div. II quarterfinals. Was a three-time all-district selection at wide receiver and defensive back. Brown was named Consensus Texas Top 100 prospect and a member of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine’s Super Team. He was a standout in track and field, Brown posted third place finishes in the triple jump (47-3) and 4x200 relay (1:27.98) and was fourth in the high jump (6-8) at the 2005 Class 4A state track and field meet.
