The Arizona Rattlers will be conducting their annual open player tryout on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 11am to 2pm, and the team has guaranteed one of its 35 training camp roster spots to one lucky participant.
The tryout is being held in conjunction with Salt River Pima - Maricopa Indian Community at Salt River High School's football field in Scottsdale, Ariz. The address for the high school is: Salt River High School 4827 N. Country Club Drive Scottsdale, Arizona (Near the intersection of Country Club and Chaparral) Registration for the workout will run from 9:00am to 10:30am, and the on-field activities will begin at 11, lasting around three hours. All participants will be tested in a variety of football drills by Rattlers Head Coach Kevin Guy and other members of the Rattlers coaching staff. All participants are required to bring their own attire, which includes footwear (grass cleats are recommended), shirts, shorts, tights, gloves and so on. A trainer will be present at the workout, but each player is responsible for their own taping, spatting and preparations. The team will not provide this. All positions will be tested at the tryout, including kickers. The fee for the tryout is $80 and can only be paid in cash on the day of the tryout. Players will be asked to fill out an information sheet and waiver form to participate in the tryout. These forms will be posted on this website in early January. To save time on the day of the open workout, players can download these, fill them out and bring them to the tryout with them. Email all questions to website@azrattlers.com. |
